Self Adhesive Labels
These are the most common type of labels produced are self adhesive
labels. These are usually
kiss-cut with radius corners for a tidy presentation or a customised
shape to suit any product
container. These labels are then supplied in sheets for manual
application to your product.
The biggest factor for success in self adhesive label printing
is choosing the correct grade of
adhesive and face material for the usage situation. Paper grades
of face material are the most
economical and can be used if the label is going to remain clean
and dry during it’s life cycle.
Synthetic or Vinyl grades of face materials are required if the
product is to be used outdoors.
The adhesive choice is also critical as each adhesive is designed
for different purposes.
E.g. there are special adhesives for products that is going to
be refrigerated etc. The critical factor
is to test the material in your labeling situation and on your
container surface before production.. |

Paper Labels
Some labels are printed on paper and glued or taped to the product.
This is an economical
way to produce labels but can be labour intensive and messy to
apply. Common uses for
paper labels are wrappers around aerosol cans, inside shrinkwrap
packets and wine labels. |
