| This style is known as a double end wall tab locking tray, although
there are many tray styles available. Depending
on the volumes and packing method, some trays offer advantages over
others. With the style pictured, no gluing is
required but it can be labour intensive because the box is manually
assembled. This tray is sturdy due to the double
thickness of cardboard on the ends of the box. Some tray styles generate
considerable cardboard wastage and
therefore can be expensive to produce. Trays with glued corners for
more automatic assembly are also available
but require special gluing processes so can be expensive. |
